Orchestra of the Light Rise Up to the Light! Japan Latinization Plan 2020
Orquesta De La Luz
Overview
Under the theme of the "Japan Latinization Project," the salsa band Orquesta de la Luz, which has been actively continuing its activities, will be on stage again in 2020. Since their 1990 debut album topped the U.S. Latin charts for 11 consecutive weeks, they have received numerous honors both domestically and internationally, including the United Nations Peace Prize and Grammy nominations. In 2019 they celebrated their 35th anniversary and released their first original album in ten years, "Gracias Salseros." A rehearsal video they streamed on Facebook in March of the same year reached 2.8 million views, drawing attention worldwide, especially in Central and South America. It promises to be a joyful and electrifying night on stage as they powered through their anniversary year.
