Kotaro Oshio, renowned for his work as an acoustic guitarist, will take the stage. He made his major-label debut in 2002, and shortly thereafter, he also debuted on a major label in the United States. He has appeared three consecutive years at the Montreux Jazz Festival. Furthermore, he has broadened his activities across Asia and worldwide, earning high praise not only in Japan but around the world. While making live performances the core of his work, he has also expanded his range by composing music for film scores and commercials. His guitar playing, which employs techniques such as open tuning and tapping, expresses a supple resonance and powerful performances, boasting timeless appeal. In February 2019, he released his 15th original album, Encounter, and continues to sharpen his musicality. Please enjoy to your heart's content the richly abundant sound world that seems impossible to achieve with just one guitar.
