Kotaro Oshio, an acoustic guitarist who continues to thrive, will take the stage. In 2002, soon after his major-label debut, he also debuted in the United States. He has performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival for three consecutive years. Furthermore, he has expanded his activities across Asia, earning high praise not only in Japan but worldwide. While continuing to focus on live performances, he has broadened his range by composing film scores and music for commercials. His guitar playing, using open tunings, tapping, and other techniques, expresses a supple, resonant sound and a powerful performance with a timeless appeal. In February 2019, he released his 15th original album, Encounter. He continues to sharpen his musicality. Please enjoy to your heart’s content the richly lush sonic world that a single guitar might not seem capable of producing.
