TiA, a gospel singer whose powerhouse vocals have earned her a global career based in New York and Japan, makes her first appearance. In 2004, after debuting commercially with the single "Every Time," her debut album "humming" earned the 19th Japan Gold Disc Award (2005) for New Artist of the Year. To mark her 10th anniversary, she relocated to New York and began activities with a global outlook, achieving the remarkable feat of becoming the first Japanese winner at the United States’ largest gospel competition. The New York Times ran a front-page feature on her, and Courrier Japon selected her for its feature "Six Japanese People Recognized by the World," which helped make her name widely known. Last year, in commemorating her 15th anniversary since debut, she released the album "MIRACLE" on Sony Music Labels, her first in about seven and a half years. This year she earned the highest score ever recorded on THE Karaoke☆Battle and won, and in November a digital release of her new song "Rejoice" is planned.
