Since debuting as the first Japanese female singer on the prestigious jazz label Verve, jazz singer Akiko has continued to create with her own sensibility, absorbing a wide range of music without being confined by the jazz frame. Recently, she has been in charge of music production for the autumn-released film "Tohana," and a new album inspired by the film’s world view is also planned. Now she takes the stage with Atsushi Yanaka, the baritone saxophonist of Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, who is celebrating the band's 35th anniversary this year.
