Studio Chizu, the studio that has brought many acclaimed animated works to the world— including Wolf Children, The Boy and the Beast, and Mirai, three of director Mamoru Hosoda’s six feature films for which Masakatsu Takagi composed the music—has completed a songbook titled Uta no Jikan (Time for Singing), in which those famous melodies are newly reborn as “songs” and recorded. To mark the release, a release-show will be held at Billboard Live in May. From the five lyric-writing vocalists commissioned for this project, the guest vocalists joining us this time are Anne-Sally, Hana Hope, and Saho Terao. With Takagi’s beautiful piano tones, an ensemble of four other musicians, and voices that breathe life into the songs’ narratives, this will be a special performance that invites listeners into a new world—please come and experience it.
