Devon Allman and Duane Betts—each of whom has built a career as a solo artist in the world of American roots music and are celebrated as modern guitar heroes—have united to form the Allman Betts Band, which will launch a Billboard Live Tour in the spring.

Their music freely fuses blues, Americana, and Southern Soul to deliver timeless, universal rock. Their debut album, Down to the River, released in 2019, topped the iTunes Rock Chart and reached the Top 10 on several Billboard charts, building a solid fan base through a world tour. In addition, the annual Allman Betts Family Revival has drawn worldwide attention as a gathering to celebrate the bonds of music, featuring a lineup of star-studded guests.

In 1989, the two were taken on tour from childhood by their fathers, Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts (both founding members of the Allman Brothers Band). The bond between them deepened, and after their 2017 performance at the Fillmore in San Francisco, the band’s activity truly took off. Since then, they have played more than 100 shows around the world, continually writing new songs in the breaks between tours.

Carrying on their fathers’ legacy, they deliver music for modern audiences. That is the mission and unique charm of the Allman Betts Band. A guitar- and soul-filled musical journey is opening once again in Japan.
