Since making a striking debut in 2011 as Enjolras in the musical Les Misérables, Uehara has been active as a musical theatre actor and vocalist. To commemorate his 15th debut anniversary, he will hold a concert delivering two facets: songs as a classical singer — PRAY = 祈る — and songs as an actor — PLAY = 演じる. With the lingering impression of the sublime stage delivered at Billboard Live Osaka this April still fresh, a Yokohama performance has been decided. Since graduating from Tokyo University of the Arts, he has performed as a principal in numerous works such as Miss Saigon, Marie Antoinette, and Romeo and Juliet, earning high acclaim for his presence, expressiveness, and solid vocal ability. He will be joined by composer/keyboardist Makoto Miyazaki to trace his 15-year journey. Let his powerful baritone voice resonate in the club space against the crisp autumn air.
