A New Formation ・ First Live

Nobuyuki Nakajima

Overview

Nobuyuki Nakajima, who has created delicate, emotionally rich music that closely fits the world of each work—including the soundtrack for the film No Longer Human, as well as music for the taiga drama Yae no Sakura and the film The Mourner—continues to work both domestically and internationally. He moved to France after being inspired by Jane Birkin's world tour, and as music director he participated in the world premiere of “PIAF SYMPHONIQUE” at the Opéra de Nice, broadening his activities abroad. This time, numerous accomplished musicians who embody Nakajima's works will participate. From his solo albums and film scores, his musical range expands to chamber music, bossa nova, minimal, and jazz, and, with the theme of “the coexistence of delicacy and intense dynamism,” will unfold in a new lineup. The ensemble name is KLANGLANZ ensemble. It is a coined term combining the German KLANG / Lang (sound, resonance) and GLANZ / Glanz (brilliance, radiance). Furthermore, as a guest, Kahimi Karie, a representative of the 1990s “Shibuya-kei” movement, will join, delivering a special night where stillness and lyrical resonance intersect.
