Trombone Shorty, the trombone player and singer born in New Orleans, makes his Billboard Live debut. With an electrifying sound that freely fuses rock, funk, soul, jazz, blues, hip-hop, and Caribbean music—and a live performance that is truly awe-inspiring—he is a globally renowned figure who embodies the current pulse of New Orleans music. Since performing at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival at the age of four, he has appeared on countless stages—from the White House, the Grammys, and Madison Square Garden to the 2025 Super Bowl—and is known for his collaborations with a wide range of artists, including tours with Jeff Beck and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and performances with Pharrell, Bruno Mars, Jon Batiste, Lenny Kravitz, Ringo Starr, and more. In 2011 he also founded The Trombone Shorty Foundation to support music education for younger generations, dedicating himself to passing on New Orleans culture to the next generation.
