Overview
Since his debut, Masaki Ueda has continued to evolve. He has released many iconic songs, such as “Sad Color” and “Wagamama,” and in recent years has been active as a pioneer of Japan’s soul/R&B scene, crossing borders into Asia. Last year, as he turned 70, he released his first original album in more than 45 years of career—an album whose sound was crafted by musicians whose bonds with him have been nurtured over those years—and deepened his vocal world even further. Masaki Ueda, together with a stellar lineup including Junji Ariyama, will stage funky, groovy live performances.
