Since his debut in 1972, Masaki Ueda has continuously pursued a sound rooted in Rhythm & Blues and Soul Music. He has released numerous classics such as “Kanashii iro ya ne” and “Wagamama,” captivating fans across borders, especially in Asia. Even today, he remains active, performing many stages each year and releasing albums; in 2020 he drew attention by contributing the song “Never Give Up” to Kiyoshi Hikawa (included on the album Papillon). This time as well, he will take the Billboard Live stage as the “Masaki Ueda R&B Band” together with his longtime ally Junji Arayama from the “Masaki Ueda and South to South” era.
