Overview
A name etched into the history of Japan’s performing arts, Tamasaburō Bandō returns to Billboard Live Osaka for a second year. He has been recognized as the fifth Kabuki onnagata to become a Living National Treasure (Important Intangible Cultural Property holder), and has also been awarded the rank of Commander of the French Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, as well as the Medal with Purple Ribbon, among other honors. His artistry extends beyond kabuki, and he is highly regarded as a singer with strong expressive power and a richly wide vocal range, boasting a broad repertoire including chansons, Japanese songs, and musical numbers.
