Kodo, a taiko-performing arts ensemble that finds infinite possibilities in traditional music and performing arts centered on the taiko, and seeks to reinvent them for the modern era. Since their debut at the Berlin Festival of the Arts in 1981, they have performed more than 7,000 times in over 50 countries and regions. Their activities extend beyond theater performances, including collaborations with top artists across various genres, international events, participation in film music, and hosting the international arts festival at their home base on Sado Island, among other endeavors. Their first appearance on the Billboard Live Osaka stage in spring 2023 was widely praised for its dynamic, one-of-a-kind performance and drew much attention.
