Japan's slick Jump Jive band, 吾妻光良 & The Swinging Boppers, are set for Billboard Live's three-city tour again this year!

In autumn 1979, while still a student at a certain university, it was formed by 吾妻光良 as a “graduation commemorative.” It was supposed to disband as soon as they graduated, but the fun proved irresistible, and nine months later they re-formed, carrying them from the Showa era into Heisei, and this year they celebrate their 45th anniversary. Backed by raging brass, the 12-member group guitars away and delivers a buoyant, high-spirited sound—please enjoy it to your heart’s content.
