The salsa band Orquesta de la Luz, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, will stage a spring Billboard Live tour. Since their 1990 debut album ‘De La Luz’ topped the U.S. Latin charts for 11 consecutive weeks, they have received numerous honors, including the United Nations Peace Prize and Grammy nominations. Now entering their anniversary year, they are planning to produce an album and music videos, with contributions confirmed from Naoto Inti Raymi, who had a close relationship with vocalist NORA; Latin Grammy-winning producer Tony Skarl; and Maki Ohguro and Rose Touma, who drew attention on ‘People of the Latin House.’ Please join us in celebrating the band’s 40th anniversary, under the theme “Japan Latinization Project,” for a happy and passionate performance.
