MIKAGE PROJECT, a powerhouse unit that since its formation in 2020 has been reworking folk songs from across Japan in a contemporary sense, uniting a desire to connect to the next generation and continually pursuing the possibilities of traditional Japanese instruments. Under the name “MIKAGE (御影),” which carries the meanings of divine spirits and souls, they proclaim a philosophy of preserving the ancestral sound spirits for future generations through folk songs from around the world, and they will make their Billboard Live debut.
