Devon Allman and Duane Betts—two artists who have built careers as solo performers in the world of American roots music and are renowned as modern guitar heroes—have joined forces in the Allman Betts Band, which will embark on a Billboard Live Tour with the arrival of spring.

Their music, freely blending blues, Americana, and Southern soul, delivers a timeless, universal rock that transcends eras. Their debut album Down to the River, released in 2019, topped the iTunes Rock chart and reached the Top 10 on multiple Billboard charts, building a solid fan base on world tours. Additionally, the annual Allman Betts Family Revival has drawn worldwide attention as a celebration of the bonds of music, featuring star-studded guests.

In 1989 the two were taken on tour by their fathers, Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts (both founding members of the Allman Brothers Band), and began touring from childhood. That bond deepened, and after the 2017 Fillmore performance in San Francisco, the band’s activity truly took off. Since then, they have played more than 100 shows worldwide, and have continued to write new songs between tours.

Carrying on their fathers’ legacies, they still deliver music for a contemporary audience. That is the Allman Betts Band’s mission and its singular appeal. A journey of guitar- and soul-filled music is now opening once again in Japan.
