The Yoshida Brothers, Tsugaru shamisen artists who connect Japan’s tradition to the future, celebrate their 25th anniversary with a Billboard Live appearance. By blending the traditional timbre of Tsugaru shamisen with a wide range of genres—rock, electronica, jazz and more—they have continually demonstrated a presence beyond the borders of traditional Japanese music, starting with the theater music “NARUTO-ナルト-展 Main Theme” for Naruto’s commemorative exhibition of the manga’s ending, and, together with guitarist SUGIZO, the opening theme for the TV anime “GIBIATE.” This time, they are joined on stage by DJ DAISHI DANCE, who produced “Renovation.” and “Hyakkaryoran DAISHI DANCE REMIX.” Don’t miss the chemistry that happens when dance music and house four-on-the-floor meet Japan’s traditional music.
