Eddie Jobson, one of the leading keyboardists and violinists in the progressive rock world, has withdrawn his retirement and will return to the stage after six years.
Known as a co-founder of the legendary group U.K., Jobson has been active with such renowned bands as Curved Air, Roxy Music, Frank Zappa, King Crimson, Yes, and Jethro Tull. He joined Roxy Music at a young age as Brian Eno’s replacement, and at 21 he was recruited into Frank Zappa’s band, with his talent recognized worldwide from an early age.
After leaving the rock scene, he found success as a composer for television and film music, working on more than 100 projects. In 2019, as a member of Roxy Music, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, becoming the first violinist to achieve that milestone.
And now, he has reversed his retirement and announced his return to the stage after six years. His Japan dates at Billboard Live will be part of a world premiere, limited to only four performances worldwide.
The concert will feature a star-studded lineup including Mark Bonilla (Keith Emerson Band), Mike Keneally (Frank Zappa’s Band), and Marco Minnemann (The Aristocrats), and filming or recording of any kind is strictly prohibited.
