Shakatak, the UK-born fusion pop group that has been loved around the world since their formation in 1980, makes their appearance at Billboard Live this spring, in step with the hints of new-season air. They debuted with the 1981 album 'DRIVIN’ HARD', and in 1982 the single "NIGHT BIRDS" reached the UK Top 10. The self-titled album also became a long-running hit, reaching No. 4 on the charts, and their name spread worldwide in an instant. In Japan too, their music has continued to color the times and scenes through use in TV dramas and commercials.

Even after 45 years since their formation, their journey shows no signs of stopping. In recent years they have released commemorative works and staged special performances, and since early 2026 they’ve continued vigorous live activity, primarily across Europe. The sound, constantly updated with the sensibilities of the present, and the groove that has grown more mature, give Shakatak’s stage a new radiance.
