As the “busiest in Japan” drummer and percussionist, Shun Ishiwaka—who has earned wide trust from many artists including Ringo Sheena and Kenshi Yonezu, in addition to his own projects such as Answer to Remember—has poured his greatest energy into <composition>, and since 2016 has continuously released works as his life’s work, the Songbook Project. To date he has released six albums, continuing to express a world of <song> woven with serene yet diverse timbres and rhythms. This time, a special 10th-anniversary concert will be held at Billboard Live Osaka. In addition to Shun Ishiwaka, the lineup centers on musician Makoto Kakudo, known for his free expression through voice and percussion; guitarist Shuta Nishida, known for collaborations with Gen Hoshino and Sora Kunijima; and Daishi Nakamura, who uses a wide variety of instruments across theater and film music, to depict that worldview in a special arrangement. Look forward to a dense stage where beautiful melodies intersect with genre-defying rhythms.
