Eternal guitar hero Mitsuyoshi Azuma leads Japan’s only Jump Jive band as they take the stage at Billboard Live! In autumn 1979, while he was a fifth-year student at a certain university, Azuma formed the band as a graduation present. They were supposed to disband as soon as they graduated, but the fun was so great that they reformed nine months later. They then rode leisurely through Showa and Heisei and into Reiwa in 2019. To celebrate their 40th anniversary, they released their 8th album to date. And this year, on November 3, they will release a 7-inch analog vinyl, continuing their energetic activity even past their sixtieth birthday. You can’t help but dance to their incredibly upbeat sound.
