The unit i-dep, which has earned high praise from music fans both in Japan and abroad and has performed at major festivals such as SXSW and Summer Sonic, makes its Tokyo debut at Billboard Live Tokyo. After the debut single was world-released on Italy’s IRMA RECORDS, it gained popularity both domestically and internationally. In 2009, the band temporarily paused activities, but continued as a solo project of Hiroshi Nakamura. In 2019, all six members gathered again, and the band fully rebooted. In May 2021, they released the single “Only for You.” Rooted in the members’ origins—Electronic music, Jazz, Funk, and Bossa Nova—their style blends various elements into a sound rich in originality, painting a pop yet uniquely one-of-a-kind worldview. For this show, knowone, with whom they have ties, will join as the opening act. As they continue to evolve, we invite you to experience the superb, authentic live sound they weave.
