Elevating the currents of jazz/funk and world music into polished pop, the UK-based fusion pop/funk band Level 42 swept the 80s mainstream and now makes a long-awaited comeback to Billboard Live. Since their formation in 1979, they have evolved their musicality with outstanding instrumental technique as their weapon; their signature tracks “Something About You” and “Lessons In Love” became big hits not only in the UK but also in the United States, leaving a significant mark on the pop/rock history from the 80s onward. After disbanding and reforming, they have continued to tour vigorously to this day. Their dazzling stage, including Mark King’s slap bass, is a must-see.
