One of the world’s premier guitarists, Al Di Meola, who continues to captivate listeners with complex rhythms and syncopation as well as lyrical, refined melodies, makes a comeback at Billboard Live. In the 1970s, he joined the legendary fusion group Return to Forever, led by Chick Corea. Since then, he has woven elements of Latin, flamenco, tango, Middle Eastern music, and other styles into his fusion, and the maestro Di Meola continues to deepen his artistry. In 2017, he staged the 40th-anniversary tour of the career-defining masterpiece “Elegant Gypsy.” In 2020, carrying the album “Opus” to color a new chapter in his life, he visited Japan on the [Past Present Future Tour], captivating the audience.
