The fin., a rising band featuring Yuto Uchino (vocals, guitar, synth) and Kaoru Nakazawa (bass) with supporting members, has been making waves. Their sound blends elements from 1980s–90s synth-pop and shoegaze with US indie pop and chillwave, drawing attention not only at Japan’s Fuji Rock Festival and Summer Sonic but also at festivals in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and China. From 2016 to 2019 they based themselves in the UK and toured successfully across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, earning continued support from discerning music fans both domestically and internationally. Having just wrapped up successful solo shows in Tokyo and Osaka in September and riding the momentum, expectations are high for what kind of night they will deliver at their first Billboard Live performance.
