The Three Degrees, a chorus group who carry the enduring charm of Philadelphia soul into the modern era, will return to Billboard Live for their first appearance in four years. In the 1970s they scored big hits in Japan with “Whispers of an Angel (When Will I See You Again)” and “Dirty Ol’ Man,” and their collaboration with MFSB (Mother Father Sister Brother) yielded the No.1 hit “Theme from Soul Train.” These artists vividly colored the era when Philadelphia soul reached the pinnacle of pop, and they are truly ambassadors of happy and glamorous music. Celebrating their 60th anniversary in 2023, look forward to a blissful moment to savor the era’s diva-led chorus work and the allure of their timeless songs to the fullest.
