One of Japan’s premier guitarists, Yuji Toriyama, founded the crossover group PYRAMID with his longtime friends—drummer Akira Shinbo and pianist Hirotaka Izumi. The three, bandmates since high school and each active as composers/producers/musicians on the scene since the 1980s, formed PYRAMID in 2003, and the group continued even after Izumi’s sudden passing in 2021. In 2022 they completed the album PYRAMID 5, featuring illustrious guests Miho Fukuhara, Kan Sano, and mabanua, and their release live at Billboard Live was a great success. This time, PYRAMID’s two members present a solo concert that recreates the ultimate space they build with the fans’ voices, “PYRAMID CITY JAM.” Please enjoy a luxurious autumn moment.
