Japan's cool Jump Jive band, Azuma Koryō & The Swinging Boppers, a Billboard Live three-city tour, is set for this year as well! In the autumn of 1979, while still a student at a certain university, Azuma Koryō formed the band as a “graduation present.” They were supposed to disband as soon as they graduated, but they grew hooked on the fun, and nine months later they re-formed; having carried on from the Showa era into Heisei, this year they reach their 44th anniversary. Backed by raging brass, the 12-member group rips into their guitar and delivers a lively, feel-good sound that you can enjoy to the full.
