Salute Japan Tour
Larry Carlton
~The Crusaders - Steely Dan - Fourplay~
Larry Carlton
Overview
Guitar legend Larry Carlton, who has long led the fusion world, has announced a farewell concert at Billboard Live as part of his world tour. He began his professional career in the late 1960s, and after his work with The Crusaders, in 1978 he released the jazz-fusion landmark Night Wanderings. The track "Room 335" became a hit, and Larry became a sought-after session musician, in constant demand from renowned artists such as Steely Dan, Michael Jackson, and Billy Joel. He has been nominated for the Grammys 19 times, winning the honor four times, and here at Billboard Live he has moved us for many years with numerous memorable performances. That “Mr.335” will, to draw the curtain on the whirlwind schedule of his brilliant career, deliver his mature guitar playing, the many classics by The Crusaders and Steely Dan that color it, and, with Fourplay’s repertoire—songs he has rarely performed before—salute Japan, his beloved country. Don’t miss this precious moment that will likely remain in music history forever.
