The Katsushika Trio, featuring Tetsuo Sakurai, Akira Jimbo, and Minoru Mukaiya, who are at the forefront of Japan’s fusion scene, will perform at Billboard Live for the New Year. The trio was formed in 2021, sparked by Sakurai and Mukaiya’s guest appearances at Akira Jimbo’s One-Man Orchestra at Katsushika Symphony Hills. In July 2022, they released a three-track recording that topped the iTunes Store Jazz chart.
