Japan's pride in salsa, Orquesta de la Luz, arrives at Billboard Live in early summer on a blazing Latin beat. Their debut album De La Luz, released in 1990, topped the US Latin charts for 11 consecutive weeks, and since then they have continued to shine worldwide, including winning the United Nations Peace Prize, a Grammy nomination, and tours in 23 countries. Their 2024 album Más Caliente, commemorating their 40th anniversary, topped the iTunes Latin charts in Panama, Russia, Kenya, and Japan, generating widespread buzz. This year marks the 35th anniversary of their major-label debut, and they plan to release a best-of album including live recordings. In addition, overseas performances, including in the United States and Mexico, are also on the schedule.
