Overview
Graham Gouldman, a legendary songwriter whose name is etched in the history of British pop & rock and a founding member of 10cc, makes his solo debut at Billboard Live! Starting his career in the 1960s, he wrote numerous classics such as The Yardbirds’ “For Your Love,” The Hollies’ “Bus Stop,” Herman’s Hermits’ “No Milk Today,” and Jeff Beck’s “Tallyman,” and as a songwriter he has been one of the most important figures supporting the British Invasion era. In 1972 he formed 10cc and released hits that have stood the test of time, including “I’m Not In Love,” “The Things We Do For Love,” and “Dreadlock Holiday.” With his superb melodic sensibility and inventive sound-making, he continues to captivate music fans around the world. In this performance, he will showcase not only representative songs from 10cc but also tracks he wrote for The Hollies, Herman’s Hermits, and The Yardbirds, as well as songs from his Wax era with Andrew Gold, presenting his vast catalog of songwriting. The band’s lineup features three multi-instrumentalists: Keith Heyman and Ben Stone, current members of 10cc, and Ian Hornal, who joined 10cc last year after participating in ELO activities; and Andy Park, who rounds out the lineup. A legend who has been at the forefront of pop music for more than half a century—experience his gem-like classics live.
