Not only active as a solo artist, pianist Tetsu Shioya continues to engage in a wide range of activities as a collaborator with many artists, as a composer/arranger and producer. Singer-songwriter Ayako Ikeda, who crafts lyrics and melodies that value the Japanese “sound” and expresses the heart’s tones with a crystal-clear vocal timbre, will perform in a duo with him. These two have linked their worlds through collaborations such as performances at Ikeda’s launched music festival Yakushima Forest Festival and the co-creation of the song “A Letter to Tomorrow,” which was provided to Aoi Teshima and became a drama theme song. We look forward to seeing what kind of chemistry they will reveal on stage.
