Overview
Hiromi Ota made her debut with the 1974 single “Raindrops.” Since then she has sung numerous classics, including “Cotton Handkerchief,” “Red High Heels,” “September Rain,” and “Farewell to the Trans-Siberian Railway,” and as a singer who transcended the folk and kayōkyoku genres, she opened the path for today’s J-POP female vocalists. In 2019, marking her 45th anniversary of debut, a premium live performance featuring carefully selected numbers from her repertoire on the Billboard Live Yokohama stage has been announced. In collaboration with Kansai’s premier long‑standing big band, the Alo Jazz Orchestra, enjoy Hiromi Ota’s world—ranging from hits to jazz and pop—delivered in her crystal‑clear singing voice, in an intimate club setting.
