Niigata-born singer-songwriter Miwa Sasagawa makes her Billboard Live debut. She began her music activities in her hometown of Niigata as a student, and made her major debut in 2003 with the single “Laugh” from Avex Trax. Her distinctive world and voice drew attention, and her songs have been used as theme songs for numerous commercials, dramas, films, and stage productions, with appearances at major festivals such as Fuji Rock Festival, Ohara Break, and Slow LIVE. Her live performances, delicate yet overwhelming, have resonated with many people, and since her debut she has translated the storytelling aspect—woven from words and the experiences she has gathered—into song, producing truly unique works as an essayist-like singer-songwriter.
