Lisa Ono, a pioneering and established figure in Japan’s bossa nova, will appear at Billboard Live in early winter. In 1989, she released her debut album Katopiri, and the 1999 album Dream became a hit, selling over 200,000 copies. She has won the Jazz category at the Japan Gold Disc Award four times. She has also formed close ties with the god of bossa nova, Antônio Carlos Jobim, and with João Gilberto, who passed away two years ago, and has continued to perform worldwide. With her natural vocal tone and guitar sound, her music provides gentle healing, so please enjoy it to your heart’s content.
