Japan's leading jazz trumpeter Kosei Hino makes his first appearance on the Billboard Live Yokohama stage. He began playing the trumpet at age nine, and after his debut he drew attention with the “Hinoteru Boom,” going on to soar in activities beyond jazz across many fields. Even after moving his base of operations to New York in 1975, he has continued to perform actively with numerous musicians both in Japan and abroad, and his list of awards is illustrious, including the Purple Ribbon Medal and the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette. He is a true, world-class jazz trumpeter and a cornerstone of the Japanese jazz scene, boasting unique originality and a high level of artistry.
