Drawing on the authentic Brazilian music he learned in Rio de Janeiro and blending it with the bright, free atmosphere of his local Shonan, Ryotaro Imai has forged his own distinctive musical style. After making his major debut as a pianist with Piano Saudade in 2013, his activities have spanned a wide range—from concerts in Hiratsuka, his hometown, to releasing numerous works as a producer. In 2018, he released the eagerly awaited best-of album Ryotaro Imai The Best: Rio de Janeiro → Tokyo. In addition to the piano trio Ryotaro Trio Brasil, he performs solo live shows and an improvisational live series with his own band, the Ryotaro Imai Group, delivering a captivating, diverse range of performances. Furthermore, in September this year he released a new album Organista Imaindarei. This time, the show will be structured in two stages, offering two distinct thematic worlds. Japan’s representative Bossa Nova singer Lisa Ono has also been confirmed as a special guest. Look forward to a stage with groove-driven music that evokes a journey through nature.
