Overview
As a musician, Tetsuya Komuro has made a full comeback, and after last year’s Rebooting 1.0 performances, which sold out on the same day, the latest chapter titled HIT FACTORY#1 was staged as early as January 2022. A total of four days and eight performances were held at Billboard Live Osaka and Billboard Live Tokyo, all tickets selling out instantly. To meet the expectations of many fans who want to experience the sound Komuro is making now, additional performances were announced for the first time at Billboard Live Yokohama. The stage is surrounded by a Steinway grand piano and Komuro’s signature synthesizer booth (Yamaha MONTAGE, Roland JD-08, Moog One, Virus TI Polar, Indigo Redback). In keeping with the idea that “no two performances will be the same,” the show emphasizes improvisation shaped by the groove of that day and moment. From the 1980s through the 2020s, performing a carefully curated setlist drawn from over 1,600 compositions, he goes on solo onstage, performing and singing across a wide range of styles.
