Overview
In 1996, she made her major debut with "Ai no Sainō" (Talent for Love). She followed up with a string of big-hit singles, including "DNA," "1/2" (the opening theme song for the anime "Rurouni Kenshin"), and "Sakura," and, beyond her solo activities, she has shown multi-faceted talents through band projects, providing songs, authoring picture books, and singing in commercials, making her active in various fields. This year marks the 25th anniversary of her debut.
This year, she has been re-evaluated by a wide range of generations and garnered significant attention, prompted by the CD release of the invaluable pre-debut demo collection "No.1 Hippie Power," the distribution of remastered versions of all recordings from her Sony Music era, and the successive release of original music videos on her official YouTube channel.
What kind of performance will she showcase on her first-ever Billboard Live stage? The anticipation is certainly high.
