Jeff "Skunk" Baxter featuring CJ Vanston
Overview
Legendary guitarist Jeff “Skunk” Baxter, who contributed to the founding of Steely Dan and is a Grammy-winning artist as well as a key member who has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, makes his first appearance. He joined Ultimate Spinach in 1968, and after leaving the group he worked as a session guitarist in Boston. During this period he met Walter Becker and Donald Fagen, and through that connection joined Steely Dan in 1972. After departing Steely Dan, he built a brilliant career, including joining the Doobie Brothers—whom he had grown close to after previously appearing as a guest—thereby forging a dazzling career. Since then he has contributed to numerous classic records as a session musician. This June, he is set to release his first solo album, Speed of Heat, featuring original songs co-written with guitarist CJ Vanston and including Steely Dan covers. Don’t miss the stunning performance by a legend who has witnessed countless moments in music history.
