One of the world’s premier guitarists, Al Di Meola continues to captivate listeners with his complex rhythms and syncopations as well as lyrical, sophisticated melodies, and he makes his comeback to Billboard Live. In the 1970s he joined Chick Corea-led legendary fusion group Return to Forever. Since then, he has woven elements of Latin, flamenco, tango, and Middle Eastern music into his fusion, and the maestro Di Meola continues to deepen his artistry. In 2017, he embarked on a 40th-anniversary tour of the career-defining masterpiece Elegant Gypsy. In 2020, carrying the album Opus to color a new chapter in his life, he visited Japan on the Past Present Future Tour to honor his 45 years of musical activity, captivating the audience.
