40th Anniversary Live “Treasure Voice”
Iyo Matsumoto
Iyo Matsumoto
Overview
Iyo Matsumoto, who debuted as a singer in 1981 and rose to prominence as a representative figure of the so‑called “Class of ’82,” becoming the youngest-ever to perform at Nippon Budokan at the time, has continued to shine as a top idol. In December last year, she released an album that self-remakes her hit songs and signature tunes, “Treasure Voice [40th Anniversary Song Book] Dedicated to Kyohei Tsutsumi,” whose evolved vocal performances have been drawing praise. Now she makes her Billboard Live debut at a 40th‑anniversary concert. The music director for this show is Motoki Funayama, who also arranged the five newly recorded tracks on the album. Enjoy her timeless Treasure Voice, unchanged from classics such as her debut song “Sentimental Journey,” together with a luxurious special band of superb musicians.
