Yui Makino
Overview
Yui Makino, who continues to demonstrate a wide range of talents as a voice actress, singer, and pianist, makes her Billboard Live debut. She began piano at age four, and at eight she met Shunji Iwai, going on to work on soundtrack music for works such as Love Letter and All About Lily Chou-Chou. In 2005, she made her voice-acting debut as Sakura, the heroine in CLAMP’s original TV anime Tsubasa Chronicle, and since then has drawn increasing attention by performing the ending theme for the TV anime Genesis of Aquarion and singing the Yoko Kanno-produced “Omuna Maguni.” While active as a voice actress, she has also produced numerous renowned anime-tie-up songs as an artist, including “Undine” and “Reset.” Her activities aren’t limited to Japan; she has given solo performances in Paris, Rome, and Hong Kong, and has appeared at events in more than ten countries abroad. On October 5, she will release her latest mini-album, “That Which Connects You and Me.” Don’t miss this premium stage where you can fully enjoy her singing.
