Shinya Okino, a DJ and composer from Kyoto Jazz Massive, launched the project Kyoto Jazz Sextet with a premise of fully live performances and analog recording to express contemporary jazz, and will stage an anniversary concert to celebrate The Room’s 30th anniversary.

Since their 2015 debut, Kyoto Jazz Sextet has been active with a range of missions, starting with the fusion of jazz and club music.

In April 2022, they released the new work "SUCCESSION," featuring the pinnacle of Japanese jazz drumming, Isao Moriyama, drawing attention as a generation-spanning collaboration.

That same year, in October at Billboard Live Tokyo, the concert featuring Isao Moriyama and Midorin from SOIL&“PIMP”SESSIONS drew attention.

Additionally, for the Yokohama performance, Naruhiko Kikuchi—marking his first collaboration with them since the 1st album MISSION—has been confirmed to participate.

Having evolved with every live show and delivered high-energy performances, Kyoto Jazz Sextet now presents a premium stage with a special configuration, heightening anticipation.
