As a leading representative of the Shonan sound, the folk duo Bread & Butter, who have driven the scene for more than half a century, will appear at Billboard Live in the spring. Since their debut in 1969, they have released high-quality pop music that has been carried on across generations, including “Ano Koro no Mama,” “Hotel Pacific,” “Shonan Girl,” “Pink Shadow,” “Marie,” and “Wild Horses,” captivating listeners with their soothing vocals and harmonies. They went on hiatus in December 2015 to focus on solo projects, but they reformed in 2019, the milestone 50th anniversary year. For this show, they will perform as “Shonan Friends” with a star-studded lineup including Yuji Toriyama, Chiharu Mikuzuki, and Rinmei Tanaka. It’s sure to be a premium stage where you can enjoy their seasoned performance.
