Last year marked the 45th anniversary of their formation, and with a new fourth lineup now in place, Japan’s leading fusion band CASIOPEA-P4 will hold a spring Billboard Live Tour. Since their formation in 1977, they have produced numerous hits, including “ASAYAKE” and “DOMINO LINE,” and have continued to lead Japan’s fusion scene to the present day. In 2022, it is still fresh in memory that they held a farewell concert here at Billboard Live for Akira Jinbo (Special Support), who had served as their drummer for many years. In the same year, drummer Yoshinori Imai—who became an official member for the first time in 25 years—joined, and the album NEW TOPICS was released. Entering a new phase, their ongoing-evolution, technically dazzling live performances are not to be missed.
