Minami Yoshitaka 50th Anniversary Live 2023
Yoshitaka Minami
Overview
This year marks the 50th anniversary of his debut, and Japanese city-pop pioneer Minami Yoshitaka will take the stage at Billboard Live in the spring. He debuted in 1973 with the album 'The Skyscraper's Heroine,' produced by Takashi Matsumoto, and, with his urban, sophisticated sound, has had a profound influence on the music scene—including tracks like 'Monroe Walk' and 'Make It a Slow Boogie.' In recent years, besides energetic live performances, a collaboration album with Kiyotaka Sugiyama has also attracted attention. From a career spanning 50 years, look forward to a mature performance as he generously reveals timeless old and new favorites alike that never fade.
