He debuted in 1973 with the album 'The Skyscraper's Heroine,' produced by Takashi Matsumoto, and, with his urban, sophisticated sound, has had a profound influence on the music scene—including tracks like 'Monroe Walk' and 'Make It a Slow Boogie.' In recent years, besides energetic live performances, a collaboration album with Kiyotaka Sugiyama has also attracted attention.
